Attention WMS Wrestlers and Families:
November 3 starts the first week of wrestling season. Parent night will be on Thursday, November 6 at 5:30 pm. right after practice in the WMS cafeteria. Parents should plan to attend this meeting to receive important information about the season.

The G8-orade Bottle Change Challenge is happening this week. There will be prizes awarded to the first two homerooms that fill their bottles and a grand prize for the class who collects the most money. This fundraiser raises money to defray costs for the 8th grade field trip.

Ms. Kipp’s students are bringing ancient Egypt to life this Halloween season! 👀 They’ve been learning all about the fascinating process of mummification — and even conducted their own mummy experiment to see how the ancient Egyptians preserved their dead.
It’s hands-on history at its spookiest (and most educational)! 🏺✨

WMS would like to recognize anyone in our Wildcat family who is a Veteran from any branch of the military. The following link is for submitting photos for our program on Monday, November 10. Submissions must be received by Friday, November 7.
If you would like to attend the program, reservation forms were sent home today with all students. The Program is Monday, November 10. Breakfast is at 8:30 am followed by the Ceremony at 9:00 am.

The WMS Basketball teams would like to invite everyone out to their first home game on Thursday, October 30. The action starts at 6 pm for the Girls' team and 7 pm for the Boys' Team. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Congratulations to Jennifer Anderson for being selected Wakulla Middle School's October Teacher of the Month. Jennifer was recognized at Monday night's School Board Meeting. In the audience to cheer her on were Jennifer's husband Keith, Principal Amy Bryan and many friends and colleagues. We are proud to have Jennifer as one of our 6th grade ELA teachers. She does an excellent job teaching our Wildcat students! #WildcatPride

SWAT (Students Working Against Tobacco) is asking all WMS faculty, staff and students to join them in wearing BLACK on Thursday, October 23. This campaign uncovers facts and myths behind e-cigarettes. SWAT wants to prevent tobacco companies from using this generation as an experiment for their nicotine packed products.
Wednesday, October 22 is Unity Day. Wear ORANGE to send a visible message of kindness, acceptance, and inclusion to prevent bullying.

We are excited to announce that the WMS Scholastic Book Fair is here! It will run from October 20-24. We have some great books to offer. Get your reader psyched to pick out their own books! Start exploring together: https://www.scholastic.com/bf/wakullamiddleschool
Your child will visit the fair with their ELA class to browse and shop. Parents may come to the Book Fair after school from 2:20-3:00 pm if they wish to shop with their child. Parents should check in with the front office upon arrival.
Payments accepted are: cash, check made payable to Wakulla Middle School, most major credit cards, and the Scholastic Ewallet. Ewallets can be set up at the web address above.
All money raised will be used to purchase new books for the WMS Library.

REMINDER...REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS THIS WEEK...Wakulla Middle School is offering free Heart Screenings for students on Thursday, October 23, 2025. Please use the link or QR code on the flyer to sign up. Sign-ups will close on Friday, October 17.
If your student participated in January, their screening is valid for two years and does not need to be screened again.
