As we move into September, our students and staff are settling into routines and continuing to focus on our school theme, "Taking Care of Business!" We are proud of the hard work, positive attitudes, and school spirit shown each day.
This month brings many exciting opportunities, including Arts in Education Week, team-building activities for each grade level, athletic competitions, and important academic updates such as our first nine weeks progress reports. Families are encouraged to stay connected through FOCUS and our school communication channels to ensure they don't miss important information.
A few reminders for families: ✅ Progress reports will be available in the FOCUS Parent Portal.
✅ Students should not be dropped off before 7:10 a.m. as supervision is not available prior to that time.
✅ Transportation changes must be submitted by 1:30 p.m. to ensure timely communication to students.
We look forward to another great month of learning, growth, and success at WMS. Thank you for your continued partnership and support as we work together to make this school year outstanding!

Our WMS Football Team had an awesome time at the FSU game yesterday! 🏟️🍢 From cheering in the stands to making memories together, it was a great night for our Wildcats!

📢 WMS Student ID Badge Requirements 🐾
To help maintain a safe, secure, and orderly learning environment, all Wakulla Middle School students are required to wear their student ID badge at all times while on campus.
Student ID badges were distributed today to returning Wakulla County School District students. New students/students who lost their ID badges will receive their ID badges within the next few weeks.
ID cards are universal and if a student changes schools, they are not required to get a new badge.
✅ Student ID badges serve several important purposes:
Help staff quickly identify individuals on campus
Enhance school safety and security
Allow students to scan on and off school buses
Support efficient school operations throughout the day
🎒 Student Responsibilities
Wear your ID badge and keep it visible each school day.
Maintain your badge in good condition.
Report any lost or damaged badge to school administration as soon as possible to obtain a replacement.
💳 Replacement Badge Fees
1st replacement: FREE
2nd replacement: $2.00
Each additional replacement: $5.00
⚠️ Important Reminder Failure to carry or properly wear an ID badge may result in school-based disciplinary consequences.

The SAC meeting dates for 2026-27 are August 18, November 17, February 16 and May 18. All meetings will begin at 3:15 pm and meet in the WMS Media Center or via MS Teams. You will receive a reminder notice before each meeting to let you know the location. 🚗 Important Information : Please review the student drop-off/ pick-up procedures outlined in the image to help ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient drop off and pick up for everyone on the first day of school.
