IT’S NATIONAL SCHOOL LUNCH WEEK!

Learning takes energy, and a healthy school lunch helps give students the fuel they need to focus, learn and grow. Observed since 1962, National School Lunch Week highlights the important role school meals play in supporting student health, learning and success.

Across Wakulla County Schools, we continue to see just how important that access is. During the 2025–2026 school year, participation increased by 17,784 breakfasts and 58,436 lunches — more than 76,000 additional meals served across the district.

This year, meals are available to every WCS student at no cost, helping ensure students can come to the table, get what they need and return to class ready to learn.

This National School Lunch Week, we celebrate the important connection between good nutrition, student well-being and success in the classroom

❤️🖤 Celebrating an Incredible Leader | National Principals Month 🖤❤️ October is National Principals Month, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to celebrate our very own Mrs. Amy Bryan! 🐾 Great leaders don’t just set expectations—they model them. They lead with purpose, inspire others to grow, and show those around them what greatness looks like through their everyday actions. Mrs. Bryan does exactly that. Her leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to our students, staff, and school community make Wakulla Middle School a special place to be. She leads by example, challenges us to be better, encourages us to reach higher, and reminds us that excellence is built through hard work, teamwork, and a genuine love for what we do. We are fortunate to have a principal who not only believes in the potential of others but lives out the very standard of excellence she encourages in all of us. Her impact reaches far beyond the walls of our school, and the example she sets inspires us all to continue growing, improving, and striving for greatness. Mrs. Bryan, thank you for the heart, strength, and vision you bring to Wakulla Middle School every single day. We are proud to learn from you, grow alongside you, and be part of the team you lead. Your leadership makes a difference, and we are so thankful for you! Help us celebrate an incredible principal who truly models greatness! 🐾

HAPPY NATIONAL PRINCIPALS MONTH!

October gives us a special opportunity to celebrate the school leaders who set the tone, support their teachers and staff, encourage their students and help make each of our schools a place where kids can learn and grow.

Throughout the month, our schools will be sharing a little more about the principals who lead them each day.

We’re grateful for their leadership, their steady presence and the many ways they serve our students, families and school communities.
