📢 FAST Testing Reminder WMS students in grades 6–8 will take the Florida Assessment of Student Thinking (FAST) on the following dates: 📝 Reading PM1 – Tues. Aug. 26 🧮 Math PM1 – Thurs. Aug. 28 These computer-based tests adjust based on each student’s responses to provide an accurate measure of progress. Results from PM1 are informational only, and families will receive instructions on how to access them once testing is complete. Please remind your student of the following: • No cell phones, smartwatches, or electronic devices are allowed during testing. • Students must work independently. • Test content cannot be shared in person or online. 🚗 Afternoon Transportation Changes 🚗

To ensure that all students get home safely, any changes to your child’s afternoon transportation must be made no later than 1:00 PM.

This deadline allows our staff time to notify teachers and make sure your child receives the correct dismissal instructions.

We are excited to see all of our students back on campus tomorrow! Here are a few details for students to know! 1) Tomorrow is an Early Release Day. We will dismiss at 12:20. 2) Each morning, all students who WANT breakfast will report to the cafeteria! All students who do NOT want breakfast will report to the gym! We will have staff directing students where they need to go! We are looking forward to a wonderful school year!

There will be no printed schedules available at the school.
Families must log in to FOCUS to view class schedules and room numbers.

Campus maps will be available, and our cheerleaders will be stationed throughout the school to help you find your way and answer any questions.

We can’t wait to see you and kick off a great year!

The WMS Football Practice schedule for this week will be Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday from 5:30-7:30 pm. The official team roster will be posted on bulletin boards in each hallway during Open House. All players please check to confirm you made the team. If you do not make the team please bring any WMS equipment for turn in on the first day of school.

WMS Volleyball tryouts will be on 8/12 and 8/13 from 2:30-4:30 pm. Please have transportation ready to pick up your athlete by 4:30 pm. EL2's and EL3's need to be turned into the front office or Coach Balkcom. Your athlete will not be allowed to participate until they have the appropriate forms. Any homeschool students will need to fill out the EL07 paperwork. All forms can be found on the FHSAA's website. *For athletes who make the team, a parent meeting will be held on 8/14 at 4:30 pm following practice.
